We will select suitable people to interview based on your brief. Interviews will be recorded, and signed consent forms will be delivered, which you will retain for your records.

Surveys and questionnaires are two different tools. Both involve sets of questions which are put to users. The questionnaire will give you straight results, but a survey involves additional analysis and trends exploration.

Personas are fictional characters created to represent the actual people you want to investigate or understand.

User or customer journey maps allow you to visually see how users engage with different aspects of your organisation or how they fit into the current state or the desired state.

An explainer video is the best way to grab a stakeholder’s attention in one or two minutes. They quickly explain a product, organisation, user, idea, process or problem.

Drawing mainly from Behavioural Economics, a behavioural insights report will examine any tendencies, biases and heuristics which are factors in a user or customer’s decision-making. Several effects are taken into consideration, namely psychological, cognitive, emotional, cultural and social.

Finally, the report must tie in all your findings and offer the direction for future research. It will also contain desk research and a literature review if applicable.
8. Interviews and Report Time (weeks) Research is time-consuming and will be a factor when undertaking interviews and surveys/questionnaires (primary data). When it comes to secondary data (personas, user journey maps, explainer videos and report), we have much more control over the delivery. As a rough guide, reports with primary data will take approximately eight weeks while reports with secondary data can take as little as two weeks.
